Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable cloud based services that will support millions of clients and applications talking to your cloud services
• Build and maintain API load balancer, platform QoS monitoring, content delivery networks, and virtual private networks
• Leverage both bare metal and cloud solutions to deliver best-in-class hybrid infrastructure solutions
• Design reliable service architectures, maintain high-level SLAs
• Create supporting network and security subsystems
• Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years developing cloud services and platforms
• Experience in any one of the cloud platforms: VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, OpenStack, CloudStack, AWS, Azure
• Experience with various OS platforms including Windows, Unix, and Mac OS
• Advance level understanding on platform performance optimization in Unix/Linux/Windows
• The ability to use intelligence monitoring, scripting and tools
• Experience utilizing C++
• Experience developing on and working with distributed storage systems
• Experience developing and fine-tuning low-latency distributed systems
• Experience developing SaaS platform APIs and SDKs
• Familiar with test-driven development processes
• Experience with distributed version control like Git, Bazaar, Mercurial
• Self-driven to take challenges head-on and achieve goals
• Excel at working in small, dynamic and fast-paced groups
• Familiar with agile software development process

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience architecting SaaS platforms
• Understand fault models and able to design fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Experience with x86 server and converged infrastructure technologies including IBM, Dell, HP and Cisco
• Experience with storage platforms including NetApp, EMC, IBM, HP, & Dell Compilent
• Ability to repeatedly,  consistently, and reliably perform technology design, build, and deployment tasks
