Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA

Department: Engineering

Type: Full Time

Min. Experience: Experienced

About You

You look at a cloud and know you have the skills to tame whatever service is running in it. Your deep understanding of what it takes to support continuous deployment stands you apart from your industry peers. You are critical in building customer trust by designing in security into everything we operate. You are data driven knowing that unless there is a metric in place, and a way to monitor it, that you will be blind to the state of our services. You design for no single point of failure and are willing to fail fast and recover quickly. You see the importance of improving mean time to diagnose and recover from problems, mistakes, and errors. A great day includes reading a post mortem report and verifying the recommendations are in place. You know scale-out design patterns are the only way to build scale as a legacy into everything you do. You have a passion for sleuthing through systems to identify weaknesses. Attention to detail is part of your DNA and you have a sixth sense for impending problems about to surface in running systems. You’re comfortable with and enjoy owning many activities throughout engineering infrastructure. You excel when working in a small, dynamic, and fast-paced team. Your self-driven attitude helps you thrive in unstructured environments. You are accomplished at what you do, and long for the chance to work on a mix of bold innovations that will push boundaries and change the way millions of people interact with technology. You are one of us.
