Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key reporters and influencers
  • Develop news and pitch stories to reporters
  • Place contributed stories with leading tech publications
  • Direct and engage agency partners to deliver the best results
  • Lead and direct media relations of consumer product through Beta and public launch phases
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, design, program management and operations to help the team meet key company goals
  • Commitment to professional growth; seeks opportunities for development; looks for ways to share knowledge with others
  • Actively engage and build relationships with startup and technology scene in Seattle

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience working with tech companies or agency with tech experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent job experience
  • Interpersonal skills that bring out the best in others and written communications that inspire people to take action
  • Laser-like attention to details and ability to enjoy the multitasking madness
  • Comfortable and eager to drive successful marketing programs in an unstructured, fun and free-to-fail environment
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend the product development process and implement marketing programs that drive customer adoption
  • 2+ years experience inspiring agencies to deliver their best work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a startup environment or working with startup clients
  • Ability to work independently, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain patience in high-pressure situations
  • Super engaging person who wants to grow quickly and build something great!
